In the fall of 2014, the HBS-HMS Forum on Health Care Innovation launched the inaugural Health Acceleration Challenge — a “scale up” competition that focuses on compelling solutions to problems in health care delivery that have already been implemented at a small scale and have the potential for wider dissemination.

Richard G. Hamermesh is cochair of the Harvard Business School Kraft Precision Medicine Accelerator and is a professor of management practice (retired) at Harvard Business School, where he was faculty chair of the HBS Health Care Initiative.
Robert S. Huckman is the Albert J. Weatherhead III Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where he is the Howard Cox Faculty Chair of the HBS Health Care Initiative and head of the Technology and Operations Management unit.

Barbara McNeil, MD, is the Ridley Watts Professor and founding head of the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School. She is also a professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School and at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Joseph P. Newhouse is the John D. MacArthur Professor of Health Policy and Management at Harvard University. He is a member of the faculties of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Harvard Medical School, the Harvard School of Public Health, and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Cara Sterling is the founding director of the HBS Health Care Initiative and is the acting director of the HBS-HMS Forum on Health Care Innovation.
